Where should we fly into?
You may fly into either Kingston or Montego Bay Airport. From Kingston the drive is approximately 2hrs and 15min or the helicopter ride is 30min, with a 15min drive after landing. From Montego Bay the drive is approximately 3hrs and 30mins. The helicopter ride from Montego Bay is approximately 45min with a 15min drive after landing. Pricing fluctuates from time to time so please contact your travel concierge for more details.
Are transfers included?
Transfers are not included, however our travel concierges are more than happy to help arrange transfers for you.
What’s included in the room?
Included in our standard rate is complimentary wifi, access throughout the entire property including the Living Room where you can have meals or lounge the day away, as well as direct access to the Blue Lagoon, use of kayaks and snorkeling gear.
Do you have TVs and phones in the room?
At Kanopi House, we encourage people to completely disconnect and unwind from their day to day lives. As such we do not have TVs or phones in the rooms, however there is wifi throughout the property, so if you feel the urge you can reconnect when necessary.
Where are the rooms located?
The rooms at Kanopi House are located on a hillside overlooking the Blue Lagoon. The property is connected by a series of staircases.
Is there wifi??
Yes, there is complimentary wifi throughout the entire property.
Do you have a Beach?
At Kanopi House we offer direct access to the Blue Lagoon, however we do not have a beach. Within the area there are a few options to choose from, within as little as a 5min drive you can find San San Beach, Frenchman’s Cove, Winnifred Beach, or you can take a kayak over to Monkey Island.
Is there air conditioning in the rooms?
In all of the rooms at Kanopi House we offer air conditioners and ceiling fans.
Do you have a restaurant? Are you able to handle specific dietary requirements? Eg. Vegan, Gluten Free?
Located in The Living Room you will find Kanopi House’s restaurant and general gathering area. Here you will meet your hosts Carla and Black Pearl who will help cater menus to your preferences. If you would like anything specific while staying with us, with enough notice, we can grant most every wish. If you have specific dietary requirements, that is not an issue. Please let your travel concierge know when your booking has been confirmed and we will make the property aware of your requests.
Where can you eat in the area?
In the area there are a few options to choose from, Mockingbird Hill, GeeJam, Trident and Anna Banana are a few that we recommend.
Do you accept Credit Cards? What types?
We accept MasterCard and Visa at Kanopi House. Once you have arrived we also accept US dollars for any meals or excursions you’d like to partake.
What’s your booking and cancellation policy?
To confirm your booking we require a 50% non-refundable deposit with the remaining 50% non-refundable balance due 15 days prior to your arrival. Because of our non-refundable policy we recommend the purchase of trip cancellation insurance. In the event of a cancellation, your deposit can be used as a credit towards a future stay with us within one year of your original arrival date.
What activities do you offer?
Pets are allowed at Kanopi House with notice. Please contact our reservations department for more details. Additional fees may apply.
Are children allowed?
We find that with the layout of Kanopi House, parents may feel uncomfortable with young children staying at Kanopi House. As such it is our recommendation that infants and children 7 years and older are welcome to stay at Kanopi House.
Are there mosquitoes?
Kanopi House is located in the rain-forest and comes with all that nature brings with it. To help with mosquitoes we have mosquito destroyer and bug spray available in each room, however if you have a favorite brand, we recommend traveling with your own. Mosquito nets may also be requested.
